Franks Lab
The Franks Lab aims to understand the cellular and molecular dynamics regulating inflammation and progressive fibrosis by developing computational methods that improve 'omics analyses in complex diseases.
Jennifer Franks, PhD
Jennifer Franks, PhD, is a principal investigator in the Center for Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicine (CDBRM) at Seattle Children's Research Institute and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics (Division of Genetic Medicine) at the University of Washington.
Dr. Franks earned her PhD from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth where she developed machine learning approaches for molecular subtypes in systemic sclerosis with Michael Whitfield, PhD. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship with Cole Trapnell, PhD, in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington working on single-cell analyses of inflammation and fibrosis in multiple organs.
