Family Badges and Patient Identification
- Everyone age 12 and older will get a photo name badge at all hospital entrances.
- Everyone must wear their name badge at all times.
- Make sure your inpatient child wears their medical ID band at all times.
- If you lose your badge, go to any entrance desk for another one.
Security
Security is available 24 hours to keep everyone in the hospital safe. Phone: 7-2030.

Escorts to your car
Security can walk you to your car, if you would like. Phone: 7-2030.
Lost and found
To ask about a lost item or to turn in a found item, call 7-2030. Put your child’s last name on items you bring from home.
Valuables and Your Belongings
Take all valuables with you when you leave your child’s room. Put your child’s name on everything you bring from home. The Family Resource Center (level 7, River zone) has lockers where you can store your things.
Entering at Night
The Forest B entrance is open 24 hours and staffed by Security Services at night. The Ocean 8 entrance closes at 10:30 p.m. on weekdays and the Ocean 7 entrance is open until 8 p.m. on weekends. At night, park in the Forest garage and enter the Forest lobby from the Forest garage elevators.
Hospital Rules
Follow all hospital policies and posted rules. Alcohol, illegal drugs, firearms and other weapons are not allowed on hospital property.
Smoking
Seattle Children's is a smoke-free campus, with the exception of the outdoor smoking shelter near the Emergency Department and just down the pathway from the Forest B entrance. Children and teens are not allowed in or near the smoking shelter.
