Accessibility and Special Needs
Please let our staff know what resources you need before your child's clinic visit, hospital stay or surgery.
Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services
- When scheduling an appointment, let them know you need an interpreter.
- When you are here, you can request an in-person interpreter, or we have video interpreting services available 24 hours a day.
Interpreter Services
We provide free interpretation and translation for patients and families who use languages other than English, are Deaf or hard-of hearing, and are blind or have low vision.
To reach a department, clinic or medical provider, call the interpreting line at 866-583-1527 (toll-free) and give the name of the person or extension you need.
When making an appointment, ask your scheduler for an interpreter.
During an inpatient stay, ask your nurse.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at Seattle Children’s Hospital and all clinics. Service animals are not pets, companion animals or therapy dogs. We apply the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, which define a service animal as “one that is trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability.” These animals do not need special permission to come to Seattle Children’s.
Bike Parking
Bike parking is available at River Circle near the River entrance, at the Ocean 7 staff entrance off of Penny Drive and near the Ocean 8 entrance.
