PPN Resources
Seattle Children’s is a member of the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN) a network that strives to coordinate, prepare and enable high-quality, equitable, research-based pediatric care in emergencies, disasters, and pandemics. As a member, we share updates and new resources with our regional healthcare community.
The PPN has highlighted several new resources for its members to share with their network of clinicians and families:
- As of late September 2024, Oropouche virus disease has been reported in more than 70 individuals from five states; California, Colorado, New York, Kentucky, and Florida. Information is available for Healthcare Providers and Families.
- The Western Regional Alliance for Pediatric Emergency Management has released a “Just-in-Time” video on Acute Gastroenteritis, a common issue during disasters and emergency sheltering.
- FAQs in collaboration with NETEC – Mpox in Children: What You Need to Know for Parents, Families, and Caregivers and Clinicians.
- The Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy at the University of Minnesota published an important article on childhood vaccine uptake.
