eConsults Go Live for Five Additional Service Lines July 31

Beginning July 31, eConsults will be available for Neurodevelopmental, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Rheumatology and Sleep Medicine. We’re excited to expand the options that community providers, patients and families have available to access Seattle Children’s specialists. Below are some additional details on what to expect:

  • eConsults will be available beginning at 8 a.m. PDT on July 31  via EpicCare Link.
  • Service lines have thoughtfully developed order templates for specific conditions to be able to gather the most pertinent information and provide you with the most comprehensive suggestions.

    • Neurodevelopmental will have templates for developmental delay (not autism related), behavior concern and abnormal school testing.
    • Orthopedics will have templates for mass concern, infant hip concern, lower extremity concern, upper extremity concern and spine concern.
    • Otolaryngology will have templates for snoring/large tonsils, ear infection, hearing loss, neck mass and unspecified clinical question.

    • Rheumatology will have templates for arthralgia, periodic/recurrent fever (NOT persistent fevers), concern for rheumatological condition, positive ANA and unspecified clinical question.
       
    • Sleep Medicine will have templates for insomnia, snoring/concerns for sleep apnea, excessive daytime sleepiness and other sleep concerns.

The following service lines are already using eConsults: Adolescent Medicine (including Gender Clinic), Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease and Neurology.

As a reminder, you must have access to Seattle Children’s EpicCare Link to utilize eConsults.
