"Blood disorders, including hemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders, clotting disorders, and bone marrow failure syndromes, affect millions of children all over the world. I have been fascinated by blood since the early days of my medical education with a particular interest in the complex systems of bleeding and clotting. I love the detective work that goes into the diagnosis of these disorders and I’m excited about all the novel therapeutic options that are available to our patients, including new medicines and gene therapy. I enjoy being able to work with children and families to offer treatments that can get them back to enjoying a healthy life!"
