"The fact that Seattle Children's Hospital provides care through the generosity of the uncompensated fund to children and their families regardless of their ability to pay is central to what I believe about caring for people and social responsibility. Everyone of us, from the housekeeper to the doctor to the administrator, has an opportunity and responsibility to provide each child and his/her family who come through the doors of our hospital a seamless and holistic health care experience. I love nursing and being a nurse practitioner in the Dept of Orthopedics. We CAN make the experience less lonely, less frightening, less painful."
