What Your Patients Can Expect

  • Both in-person and telehealth appointments may be offered to patients.
  • First appointments typically last at least 60–90 minutes.
  • At the first appointment, we meet with the caregiver and patient together and also meet separately with the patient alone if they are over the age of 12.
  • Depending on the concern, a physical exam, including a pelvic exam, may be indicated. If an exam is recommended, we will discuss it beforehand to be sure the patient agrees and knows what to expect.
  • At times we have trainees in the clinic, including students, residents and fellows.
