For more than 25 years, Seattle Children’s Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska has provided the highest-quality heart care to children across Alaska. Our providers live in Alaska and see children in our office in Anchorage. With 11 outreach clinics across the state, our team of heart experts offers complete care to children closer to home.

• All our heart doctors (cardiologists) are board certified in pediatrics and trained to meet the specific needs of children and teens. Ours is the only pediatric heart care group in Alaska with 2 pediatric and fetal certified sonographers.
• Seattle Children's Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska is accredited through the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in both transthoracic and fetal echocardiography.
• We offer fetal echocardiograms, a specialized ultrasound that uses sound waves to make pictures of a developing baby’s heart. Usually, we do a fetal echocardiogram 18 to 22 weeks into the pregnancy. We offer fetal echocardiogram as early as 14 weeks in some cases.
• Our providers are part of Seattle Children’s Heart Center, the most comprehensive pediatric heart care service in the Northwest. This means your child has access to all of Seattle Children’s services, from prenatal consultation, to heart surgery, to heart care for young adults.
• Care where you are: Our cardiologists provide expert pediatric consults at Providence Hospital, Alaska Regional Hospital and Alaska Native Medical Center, and they see children at more than 11 locations around the state.

Services We Provide

We provide general heart care services and consultation for infants, children and young adults, along with these services:

• Echocardiograms, including fetal echocardiograms by our registered pediatric sonographers (IAC accredited)
• Electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs)
• Evaluation, monitoring and treatment for rhythm disturbances
• Remote heart monitoring (including event monitors and Holter monitors)
• Sports clearance to meet Alaska School Activities Association (ASAA) requirements
• Transitional care for young adults, including referral to an adult heart doctor

We also provide exercise tests at Providence Health & Services Alaska.

If needed, your child will have access to the complete range of heart services through Seattle Children’s Heart Center.

Scheduling an Appointment With Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska

• If you would like a referral to Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska’s Anchorage office or 1 of our 11 outreach locations, talk to your child’s primary care provider. Having a referral will make insurance authorization easier for you, and it will make it easier for us to coordinate with your doctor.
• We will typically call you to schedule your appointment 1 or 2 business days after your primary care provider sends us your referral.
• If you have not heard from us within 2 business days, call 907-339-1945 to make an appointment for all locations except Dillingham. For Dillingham, call Kanakanak Hospital at 907-842-5201.

Prepare for Your Visit

• Before your appointment, print and fill out our registration form (PDF). Bring it with you to your first appointment.
• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you time to complete other forms we need.

Glenn Highway/Interstate A-1 South

• Take Glenn Highway/Interstate A-1 South toward Anchorage.
• Take the Bragaw Street exit.
• Turn left onto Bragaw Street.
• Turn right onto E Northern Lights Boulevard.
• Turn left onto UAA Drive.
• Turn right onto Providence Drive.
• Turn left onto Piper Street.
• Turn left into the Providence Health Park Creekside Campus. 

Seward Highway/Interstate A-1 North 

• Take Interstate A-1/Seward Highway North toward Anchorage.
• Turn right at E 36th Avenue. It will become Providence Drive.
• Turn right onto Piper Street.
• Turn left into the Providence Health Park Creekside Campus. 

Parking and entering

Free valet parking at the main entrance of the S-T-U Towers (entrance 11). Our office is in the T Tower, Suite T345.
